As summer draws to an end, we want to thank our interns for being a vital part of our team. Their presence has brought immense joy, and as their time with us wraps up, we're excited to highlight the unforgettable moments they've created. Next up: Maria Villegas, who interned with our Marketing team (special shout out to Maria from us; you did amazing this summer. We are so thankful for all you did!).Q: What is one thing you learned from your internship at Montgomery Parks?A: During my time at Montgomery Parks, I learned a lot of useful things that I’m sure will be beneficial for my future endeavors. I was able to put my skills to the test and apply them to the Parks’ social accounts, website, and newsletters. I also learned about the huge range of things Parks’ participates in to give back to their communities, from electrofishing to community gardens it is incredible to see all they do from a resident perspective as well as a team member perspective. Q: What is your proudest accomplishment/moment from your internship?A: I think my proudest accomplishment has been seeing the content I create being shared online. From social media posts, newsletters, and videos with over 3,000 views it has been rewarding to see my work shared with followers. Q: What was your favorite experience?A: My favorite experience was electrofishing (duh). Aside from getting to spend the day wading in water and collecting eels it was so interesting to learn about what electrofishing is and its purpose. I also just loved being able to get out and visit a park or go on a field trip for the day to be able to see why we do what we do. Q: Any advice for new interns?A: My advice for new interns would be to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities this internship will provide you! You can connect with and learn from so many people at Parks which provides useful insight for any future opportunities.

Every internship has its challenges. One of my first tasks at Elevation Pictures was to find a way to bring 50 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and 70 bottles of Miller High Life to the office for a party. All I had? The company card and my Jansport backpack. To minimize company costs, I walked over to the LCBO. Evelyn, a senior associate there, kindly gave me permission to use an LCBO trolley to transport the drinks to the office. The problem? The 70 bottles of Miller High Life took up the entire trolley. I’d have to make a second trip for the PBRs. This was a setback I hadn’t planned for, but every internship has its challenges. All in all, it took me 30 minutes to get all 120 beers into the office and into the fridge. Here’s what I learned:🔹 TALK TO PEOPLE. Without Evelyn’s help, it would’ve taken me at least 10 more minutes to transport all those beers to the office.🔹 BE READY TO IMPROVISE. Flexibility can turn a tough beer run into a manageable one.🔹 EMBRACE THE CHALLENGE. Every beer run is an opportunity to learn and grow.Internships are full of unexpected tasks, but they teach you resourcefulness and resilience.

#photooftheday! 📸 🚀 Jumped on a call today with the bright sparks from AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town. A flashback hit me – there I was in 2020, wide-eyed, sifting through the enigma that was the future. 🤔 Today? I’m the one hunting down those sparks for our internships. 🤠 It’s with that in mind that we’ve come to a revolutionary realisation (or maybe not so revolutionary) with Maxime Calot: our future interns... actually like to eat. Shocker, right? That’s why all our internships are remunerated. 🥳(Mostly because I remember the struggle it was for me when I was in their spot). From the get-go, Maxime Calot and yours truly ( 😉 ) pledged to grow a culture that’s centered on...well, 'us' - the people. After all, what's a company without its driving force? If you're brimming with zest for innovative solutions in the advertising realm, then Welcome Tomorrow might just be your next playground. We’re all about those creative juices and teamwork vibes! 🥤 Thank you to Cola Pullen for making it happen, your enthusiasm and theirs was contagious. 😘 #Advertising #Internships #WelcomeTomorrow #Innovation #PaidInMoreWaysThanOne 😜
