Koffee With Karan season 8 marketing focuses on embracing audience feedback: One of India's most popular celebrity talk shows, Koffee With Karan, has seen a love-and-hate relationship among its audiences. While many deny loving the series and some simply love hating it, Koffee With Karan has taken audiences' reactions head-on and embraced its flaws. KWK season 08 welcomes audience feedback as part of its strategy to promote its latest season.During Season 07, the audience largely complained that the conversations were 'meh' and to address this, KWK and streaming partner Disney+ Hotstar, launched a candid video with 'Karan's Konscience' before its season launchJohar is faced with his alter ego who confronts him with all the criticisms about the show. The video shows Johar taking a dig at himself with all the issues netizens had with the show like flashy endorsem*nts, excessive focus on the celeb’s personal life, conversation quality deteriorating, nepotism, etc. The ad campaign lets the audience know that Karan is in on the joke and has taken the criticism of his audience well. This promotional tactic helps Karan placate the audience. The video says that Karan is his harshest critic and intends to build a connect with its audience. This approach of self-reflection and self-depreciation was also seen in Season 07.Continuing this honesty and candor in the season's first episode, the focus was on improving the quality of the conversation and taking a pivot from celebrity's sex lives. The first episode dropped on October 26.Apart from embracing feedback, the show has used a mix of marketing techniques including CGI, not-so-subtle product placements, and banking on interesting conversations with prominent celebrities. The show is almost a part of popular culture and audiences look forward to the new season every year to get their dose of celebrity drama and gossip.Last season, the show attained a viewership of12.2 million views in its first week. The show is massively popular and attempts to maintain its viewership streak with various marketing techniques. KWK season 8 has been posting snippets and preludes of each episode featuring celebrities' best moments without revealing too much.Prelude PeeksThe first episode’s fun moments were hinted at by their teaser of sorts showcasing the guests Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh engrossed in conversation with the host. The teaser got 1.4 million views.Disney+Hotstar later posted a preview of the following episode with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Disney+ Hotstar (@disneyplushotstar)This Soldier never fails to arrive in STYLE, even if he’s just out to sip Koffee☕✨#HotstarSpecials #KoffeeWithKaran Season 8 Episode 2 streams from Thursday 2nd Nov.#KWKS8OnHotstar@iamsunnydeol @thedeol #KaranJoharhttp://dlvr.it/SyNpqw

How to turn reality TV stardom into the kind of influence that can pay off the mortgage. There were some interesting stats released this week around how the participants of Australia's "Married First Sight" had their socials follower count explode when they were on the show, but 12 months later "fans" were unfollowing in their 1,000's. We live in a two screen world. People watch such TV shows, find the characters incredibly intriguing/ funny/ hot / annoying and search for them on socials and follow. But as soon as the show is over, unless the stars they follow focus on building a brand, they unfollow because the interest is no longer there. Such influencers can make some great money partnering with brands as the show is airing but unless they are strategic about their content post show airing then brand interest quickly depletes. Here are a number of ways that reality TV show influencers can build a profitable brand long term:1. Find a problem that you can help your audience solve and become known in that space - weight loss, muscle gain, parenting advice, a fashion expert. Focus on one specific niche and create content in that area. 2. Create unique and compelling content around a particular theme. If you focus on weight loss, as an example, don't simply post heaps of content of you in the gym but build a mission around what you are doing. Perhaps there is an obesity epidemic in your Country - become vocal and creative about inspiring your audience to lose weight. 3. Don't fall into the glamour trap - whilst it's nice to appear on TV and be invited to VIP events over-doing this can kill your connection with your audience because you become unreliable. People followed you, having watched you on a show, because they connected with you. Focus on continuing that connection with your audience. Stay humble and authentic.Securing a role in a reality TV show can catapult you into the limelight which can result in endless financial opportunities, if you build your presence on the right foundation. Are you a "Reality TV Influencer?" who is looking to build a long term personal brand? We work with influencers to create unique cause-driven campaigns and partner with brands who want to get behind them. Want to hear more? Jenna Ortega opens up about toxic trolls on “manipulative” social mediaWednesday star Jenna Ortega has opened up about toxic trolls on “manipulative” social media in a new interview.READ MORE:‘Wednesday’ review: Netflix Addams Family spinoff is creepy, kooky and very spookyAs part ofVariety’s Actors-on-Actors series, Ortega also became emotional when discussing the impact some of the social media trolls have on her.“Social media, what it does to anyone our age, it’s such a comparing game,” Ortega began. “It influences bandwagon mentality. It’s very manipulative.”Ortega went on to explain while she wants to channel her humour on social media, she’s careful with posts as she doesn’t want people to misinterpret them. She also said that the more famous she has become since the release of Wednesday, the more trolling she faces.“They see your vulnerability and twist it in a way that you don’t always expect,” she said, before breaking down in tears.“It’s so strange. Sorry, I didn’t mean to do this. It’s such a hard thing to balance. Because how do you be honest without jeopardising your own health and safety? It’s very easy to feel almost out of control.”Jenna Ortega in ‘Wednesday’. Ortega also confirmed that she will be undertaking a producing role in the new season too. In the show, Ortega plays the titular character of Wednesday Adams.“It’s still coming together, but we’ve decided we want to lean into the horror more,” Ortega said in theVarietyinterview. “We’re ditching any romantic love interest, which is really great. We’re going to get bolder, more dark.”Speaking about her new role as producer on the show, Ortega continued: “It was a natural progression…With a character like Wednesday, who is so beloved and such a legend, I just really didn’t want to get her wrong. So I try to have as many conversations as possible. On set, with the writers and Tim [Burton], we all would get together and decide, ‘Okay, what works and what doesn’t?’”“In preparation for a second season, we wanted to make sure that we could start the conversations earlier. And I’m just so curious. I want to see the outfits, new characters that are coming in, scripts, and they were gracious enough to let me put the producer hat on.”Since portraying Wednesday Addams inNetflix’sWednesday, Ortega has starred inScream VIand hostedSaturday Night Live. The Power of perception!I recently came across a clip from Hindi Biggboss TV show where a person named Orry was being questioned by the show host Mr. Salman Khan. Salman asks Orry how much he earns. Orry’s answer to this question blew my mind. He replies, I earn approx. 20-30 Lacs a night just by posing for pictures with the sons and daughters of rich people!!! 💵 Now you must be wondering how he earns so much and why does people pay him just for pictures!Let me explain. Paparazzi culture is on the rise in India from past couple of years. Paparazzi who are famously called as papz take pictures of famous people wherever they go and post it on social media handles. People who are interested in knowing the day-to-day life of celebrities usually follow these social media handles. This helps celebrities to stay relevant in this fast-moving world and also it helps papz as it increases their social media presence. So now it is the perception that people have in their mind that all the people whom the papz post in their social media handles are celebrities. Even when they post some unknown person’s pic, people will be eager to know who is that person. Eventually after seeing the same person in these social media handles several times, we just start to believe that he is a celebrity, even though we don’t know about his background, even for that case, we might not even know his name.Orry is one such personality who started to appear in these paparazzi social media handles (Mostly through paying for it) and people started to wonder who he is and gradually accepted he is a celebrity when papz started to follow him wherever he goes. Next thing he did is starting to attend parties with Bollywood celebrities and creating a niche for himself through posing in certain way for pictures in every party with every celebrity. People started to perceive that whoever Orry parties with and poses with is a celebrity. Everybody wants to be a celebrity. The easiest way to do this is through creating a perception that you are a celebrity. If you are perceived as a celebrity just by posing with someone, then why not. This is where people like Orry earn money. They are paid to create this illusionary perception of celebrity. 🕺 Crazy how world works right! You can become a celebrity over night with the smallest of efforts. It’s all the game of perception you create, and people just accept it. Isn’t it thought provoking? 🤔 Please comment your thoughts on the above. 💭 #perception #quotes #celebrity #trend
